AUGUST 12, 2014 – We continue our look at the music of Christopher Young with selections from THE SHIPPING NEWS released in 2001.  This is one of my all time favourite scores featuring one of my all time favourite themes.  The score is a very personal score for me and my family.  My wife was born and raised in Newfoundland and this score always reminds her of home.

AUGUST 13, 2014 – CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO continues to shine the spotlight on Christopher Young with music from the 1997 thriller MURDER AT 1600 starring Wesley Snipes.  This is another big, dramatic, fully symphonic score featuring some enormous action material and a fantastic, patriotic end title cue.

AUGUST 14, 2014 – Today’s Christopher Young musical selection comes from the 2001 action crime thriller, SWORDFISH.  While Paul Oakenfold is credited as co-composer, the majority of the music was composed by Christopher Young who delivered a superb, high octane action score.

I hope you will feature the music of Bear McCreary soon. His score for Outlander is the most amazing score I’ve heard since Howard Shore’s scores for the LOTR films.

McCreary is indeed great. I’ve yet to hear Outlander but once that becomes available I’ll play it on my show. Thanks for writing, Jo Ann.

His scores for “Rapid Fire”, “In Too Deep” and the great “Set It Of Off” are some of my favorites scores EVER. Really underrated.

I am more of a Jennifer 8 and Wonder Boys fan. I went out of my way when I had no money to find Young’s score release for Wonder Boys.
