THE 1UPBEAT: REMEMBERING KOICHI SUGIYAMA, HIS LIFE AND CAREER – PART FOUR

Today, on a very special episode of THE 1UPBEAT, we remember the legendary game composer Koichi Sugiyama, the grandfather of game music. Following his death at age 90 in 2021, Eric Silver will take you through a comprehensive look at his career starting in the late 50s, through the 80s as a composer for a game music career, and finally to the end of the 2010s.

To finish off our four-part tribute to legendary composer Koichi Sugiyama, we’ll explore Sugiyama’s musical output starting at the turn of the century and going through the end of his career as the maestro goes…Into the Legend.
