ERIK WOODS’ 2023 MOVIE MUSIC TAG VIDEO

A few weeks ago, a YouTube channel called Miss 80’s – Movies & Music hosted by Beth, launched her yearly Movie Music Tag challenge, where she compiled a list of 20 questions and we soundtrack fans create videos answering them. I had so much fun producing my video last year, that I had to participate this year.  In addition to producing the video, I also had the pleasure of offering a few suggestions for questions this year, and a couple of my questions along with questions from Retro Reels, David’s Horror and H&S Collectibles made it into the final twenty.

Now, some people make short videos, and some make longer ones… well, I’m extremely long-winded so I make mini-epics. Yes, this is a long video but I hope you find it interesting, entertaining, informative and fun!

Enjoy the video!

I’ve tagged Robert Daniels from the soundtrack radio program, VISIONS IN SOUND and OBSCURE SCORES to participate, but anyone can play along.

Join us and share your soundtrack story!

If you are interested in participating here are the 20 questions.

1. How many soundtrack/scores did you purchase in 2022?
2. Your oldest soundtrack/score-year wise?
3. Newest soundtrack/score you added to your collection? (Can be year wise or just newest purchase overall)
4. Preferred format to collect? And why?
5. Favourite soundtrack record label?
6. Favourite “soundtrack” that includes both score music & songs?
7. A soundtrack triple dip: one that you own on 3 different formats (CD, vinyl, cassette, reel-to-reel or sub in VHS/DVD/Blu-ray/4K if you want)
8. A soundtrack/score from a milestone year. (your choice…birth year, anniversary, graduation, etc.)
9. A favourite soundtrack from your childhood?
10. Best soundtrack/score opening title track?
11. Favourite soundtrack/score ending credits track?
12. Best movie “love theme”?
13. Favourite soundtrack/score that helps you relax?
14. A soundtrack/score that gets you motivated?
15. A favourite TV soundtrack/score OR just share your favorite tv theme song?
16. An underrated 1980’s soundtrack/score?
17. If you had to sell your entire collection and could only keep 1, which would you pick?
18. A “white whale”- a soundtrack/score that took you forever to acquire?
19. A soundtrack/score that you are still on the hunt for?
20. Tag at least one person who loves movie music? OR share a soundtrack/score with a price tag/hype sticker on the cover.
