On today’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of STAR TREK by listening to some of the best music from the franchise, which first aired on network TV on September 6, 1966. During this special two-part series, you’ll hear over two hours of music from the various STAR TREK films, TV series, and video games.
In part one, you’ll hear four selections from the STAR TREK KELVIN TIMELINE films with music by Michael Giacchino.
You’ll also hear individual selections from Jerry Goldsmith’s STAR TREK INSURRECTION and James Horner’s STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK.
We open the film music vault to feature music from the two-part STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION episode called THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, featuring music by Ron Jones. That’ll end part one.
