  1. Hi, I’m the filmusic reviewer for Films in Review in NY. I’ve also had a radio show out here in Cyprus focusing on film and TV scores. Happy to contribute in any way. Best, Max.

Zamecnik’s name is pronounced zuh-mitch´-nick. As much music as he composed very little that I’ve heard rises above “moderately interesting,” IMHO.

    • Erik Woods says:

Funny that you bring that up! I’m currently making that correction now. The worst part about this job is pronouncing foreign names. I’m going to get killed when I do my MovieScore Media program. :/

  3. Dane Walker says:

Hey Erik, thoroughly enjoyed this today. Hook is my all time favorite Williams score. I enjoyed “The Robe” as a kid so it was good to hear it here as well. A few years agod I had to score an independent student “epic” that needed that sound and it was fun to go back to “The Robe” for inspiration. But, the highlight for me was “Galaxy Quest” David Newman needs more praise! The guy is great! Thanks!

    • Erik Woods says:

Hi Dane – Thanks for taking the time to listen to the show. It’s an honour. Glad you enjoyed it! Galaxy Quest is indeed a lot of fun. I remember being disappointed that the score never received a legit release when the film came out. However, I did manage to nab Newman’s promo! I don’t return to The Robe as much as I should however I do listen to Charles Gerhardt’s suite quite a bit. Hook is classic Williams and I’m glad an expanded releases has finally seen the light of day.
