EP. 26 | RECORE, THE RED TURTLE, DON’T BREATHE & MORE SOUNDTRACKS

On this week’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, we’ll be featuring music from six brand new scores. We open with a wonderful effort by Laurant Perez Del Mar for the animated film THE RED TURTLE. You’ll also hear Roque Banos’ inventive score from the thriller DON’T BREATHE. The new documentary THE TRADE features an atmospheric score from newcomer Mimi Page. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis deliver a dark, raw, serious score from HELL OR HIGH WATER. Chad Seiter’s brilliant score to RECORE is our video game score of the week. And Tadlow Music’s new recording of Maurice Jarre’s IS PARIS BURNING? is our film music vault selection

Our John Williams album of the week is a 1997 album featuring violinist Itzhak Perlman and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra playing two John Williams pieces; Far & Away and Sabrina.

And we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the comedy hit CROCODILE DUNDEE featuring a memorable original score by Peter Best.

The magic of The Red Turtle ultimately comes down to the miracle of organic matter’s transformative recycling. Life always finds a way, and death is always a part of that.
