THE FLAGSHIP SHOW: A CHAT WITH PATREON MEMBER WILLIAM WELCH – PART 1

Today we present a chat between host Erik Woods and Patreon member, William Welch, on THE FLAGSHIP SHOW on the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST.

William is one of three CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST patrons who signed up for the exclusive top COMPOSER TIER at the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST Patreon. He took advantage of the tier’s exclusive perk to co-host a program with Erik Woods and play whatever music he wanted. As with Joe Wiles’ episodes, William and Erik talked for a considerable time so the show has been split into two parts.

In part one of the chat, you’ll hear William talk about his interest in classical, which rolled over to his love of film music, his musical education, and the instruments he can play. He also brought some music with him, which he and Erik discussed in detail. Selections include THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (Korngold), IVANHOE (Rozsa), THE LONG GOODBYE (Williams), THE RETURN OF THE MUSKETEERS (Petit), THE PIANO (Nyman), PLANET OF THE APES (Goldsmith) and LONESOME DOVE (Poledouris).

I hope you enjoy the show. The second part of the program will be uploaded soon.
