SOUNDTRACK ALLEY: STARGATE

The eleventh episode of SOUNDTRACK ALLEY here on THE CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST is a discussion between Randy Andrews and Jason Drury about the film and score to the 1994 Roland Emmerich directed epic action/adventure film, STARGATE, starring Kurt Russell, James Spader, Jaye Davidson, Alexis Cruz, Mili Avital, and Viveca Lindfors. The film tells the story of an interstellar teleportation device known as a Stargate, found in Egypt, which leads to a planet with humans resembling ancient Egyptians who worship the god Ra(1).

The original score for the film was composed by David Arnold performed by The Sinfonia of London Orchestra and the Chameleon Arts Chorus and was recorded by Geoff Foster.

The original soundtrack recording was originally released on Milan Records and was released in expanded form Varese Sarabande Records in 2006 and then again in 2019 by La La Land Records.

We hope you enjoy the discussion, and the music and if you have any questions about SOUNDTRACK ALLEY please email Randy directly.
