21st ANNIVERSARY – CUSTOM SUITES

On this week’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO, I will be celebrating the 21st anniversary of the program.

I try to present a topic or theme that I haven’t explored in the past with each anniversary program. With that in mind, I thought it might be interesting to present for you a few of my personal custom film music suites that I like to edit together in my spare time. I don’t create suites for every score in my collection but I have roughly 75-80 specially edited suites, which combine multiple cues into one easy to digested track that ranges from roughly 4 minutes in length to as long as 10 minutes. It’s a fun exercise and I hope you enjoy listening to my creations as much as I do.

On today’s program you are going to hear 12 of those suites, which features music from THE AVENGERS by Joel McNeely, THE PROMISE by Klaus Badelt, BATMAN FOREVER by Elliot Goldenthal, PAYCHECK by John Powell, THE THREE MUSKETEERS by Michael Kamen, PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Christophe Beck, PETER PAN by James Newton Howard, THE ROCKETEER by James Horner, GODZILLA by David Arnold, SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW by Edward Shearmur, THE KARATE KID PART I AND II by Bill Conti and WARRIORS OF VIRTUE by Don Davis.

Awesome show, Erik, and awesome work! Congratulations on your show finally being of legal age. 🙂 As always, your hard work putting it together really pays off for your listeners. (And, as often, you got me to open up my wallet – this time for the expanded Sky Captain score from La-La Land!)
