Cinematic Sound Radio turns 17 this month so as I do every year (except last year) I make a valiant attempt at coming up with a topic or theme that I have never before explored on the show. For instance, during our 14th anniversary, I presented the TOP 14 RE-RECORDINGS OF ALL TIME. For our 15th anniversary, I presented a show dedicated to 15 MINUTE TRACKS.
This year I’m going to play for you some of my favourite end credit cues. These are by no means the definitive best of the best but I think this show features a fine selection of end credit cues from the most iconic to the more obscure.
So, on this special three-hour program you will hear music Alan Silvestri, James Horner, John Debney, John Williams, Joel McNeely, David Shire, David Arnold, Mark Snow and many others.

Congratulations on your 17th anniversary, Erik! I think it’s awesome and totally fitting that CSR has its own triumphant fanfare for the occasion. Thanks for providing so many hours of fine listening (and so many temptations to my wallet’s bottom line – “Ooh, I should get that score, and that score…!”)
As one who always prefers to stay ’til the very last credit rolls, and thinks end title music serves an important function as audiences transition from the movie’s world back to the real world, I love the idea that you’re devoting this program to end credit cues – and that there will be more to come!
So glad you included Goldsmith’s “Twilight Zone” cue. I love especially the stuff from the John Lithgow segment; the violin work makes me think Goldsmith must have been thinking of the venerable musical tradition of depicting Satan as a fiddler. And, yes, Williams’ “Empire Strikes Back” end title music is my all-time favorite, with his “Superman” comes a very, very close second. I am also enjoying discovering some new cues (let alone films!) through your selections.

Thanks for the great show as always! Glad you ended with my favorite end credit (and Cue) of all time! But many other great cues I hadn’t heard before that i liked alot (including Wyatt Earp, some of the TV show themes, and Matrix 3)

Excellent show again. Many cues I wasn’t familiar with that I want to revisit–and a few classics I know well and love.
I missed “John Carter of Mars,” but I imagine it was on the short list that didn’t make the cut. That is definitely my favorite end title cue of recent vintage.
John Carter is very good but since I played it last year on my best of 2012 show I thought I’d give some other films a bit more exposure!
